Use AWS through for free is supporting the hackathon by providing participants with access to AWS through infrastructure. By contacting our team during the hackathon, we can grant you access to AWS, as well as provide modules to support your product building. All costs are covered by AWS through a sponsorship program.

Using this cloud infrastructure, you can spin up databases, websites, servers, voice & image recognition, VR, AR — you name it. If machine learning is what you are looking for, we will also set up some of the services that we use internally, for example Netflix’s recently open sourced Metaflow.

Our experts will be available to help you get started and give architectural guidance.

During the weekend, 100% of all AWS costs will be covered for all participants with no strings attached.

First, register with the links above. On Friday, 21st of March at 4pm, you should receive a Slack registration link for the hackathon. Once you do so, you can:

  • Join the hackathon Slack group
  • Join us in the channel #2_Company_Support_Kineo_Ai and shoot our team a message
  • We will message you with setup instructions, including signup link, username and password
  • Log into the AWS account and have fun building!

We know that speed is key for any hackathon, which is why we want to make sure that you can go fast. You will find that your AWS account has full access to all services, with some minor exceptions on IAM. With great power comes, great responsibility, so please adhere to the following guidelines to make the experience smooth for all participants

  • Don’t mess with other participants’ infrastructure. If it’s not yours, don’t touch it.
  • Don’t mess with base features of the AWS account (i.e. don’t delete default VPC or security groups)
  • Don’t mine bitcoin please. ;-)
