Many. I’ve watched many. Yet, one of my most formative jobs was my first real one in high school, selilng at a kitchen store. This is a simple reminder and validation of the stories I still tell about how I taught myself about products and sold items to customers who weren’t looking without needing to hard sell.
Thank you for reminding me of how my enjoyment of my retail experiences became a formative experience in how I see sales: helping people find a solution to their problem. The best thing about retail was that it gave me a breadth of products that forced me to consider the ones that best suited them.
